20 years of National Chip Week – visit one of Newquay’s Fish and Chip shops

Ignore the health bashers this week with good reason because it is National Chip Week (21-25 February) and it is the perfect time to celebrate our local Fish and Chip shops in Newquay.

National Chip Week was dreamt up exactly 20 years ago to drum up interest in chips to help the industry and promote the potato. Newquay Fish Chips

With more than 11,000 fish and chip shops across Britain, you’re never far from the nation’s favourite treat!

Support National Chip Week by visiting one of Newquay’s chip shops this week to show your support for the humble chip.

The Chippy, one of Newquay’s oldest fish and chip shops, established in 1974.

Truscotts Fish Bar, close to the Harbour.

The Cod End, one of two chip shops close to Newquay Station.

Flounders Fish and Chips do free local delivery for any order over £14.
