Cliff fall last night in Newquay for 26 year old man

A man has been taken to Treliske Hospital with head injuries after falling from cliffs above Towan Beach in Newquay.< 999 Police Coastguard Newquay

Emergency services were called when the unnamed 26-year-old fell 60ft at Towan Beach.

Paramedics, Newquay Coastguard and the Newquay inshore lifeboat were involved in the rescue.

The man, thought to have been on holiday, was taken to the Royal Cornwall Hospital in Truro.

His condition is not known, but Devon and Cornwall Police said his injuries were not thought to be life-threatening.
