As with all things, it’s biased – biased towards events I know are occurring, events I see posted round town – and events that are well-known. But then I need to remember to add them once I’ve found them. If I see a poster strapped to a lamp-post there’s a chance I will remember, but I don’t always 🙂
If I think an event is exceedingly dull, or I just take a personal dislike to it, it won’t be included 🙂
We’re not biased here, but sometimes things have to be dropped. The aim is to have a bit of a mix though, across all dates… but this isn’t always possible.
Fistral Beach Clean (Monthly) 2017, Newquay
Every month, every year, an enthusiastic group of volunteers meet up for two hours and give Fistral Beach a good clean up, removing anything that’s considered rubbish from the beaches on the last Saturday of the month.
Working with Cornwall County Council and other interested organisations the Fistral beach clean up has been running successfully for several years and there’s always an enthusiastic turn out.
Goonhavern Car Boot Sales Saturdays, Goonhavern
Goonhavern holds a car boot sale and indoor table top sale on the last Saturday of the month, February through to the end of November.
There are also two table top sales on the first Wednesday and the third Wednesday each month with a variety of bric a brac, new and used goods as well as crafts stalls and handmade goods.
The outdoor car boot area is weather permitting. Free Parking. All proceeds go towards funding the Village Hall.
This table top sale is in Goonhavern Village Hall and well signposted from the main road. There’s also a cafe area where you can sit and have coffee/tea and a slice of cake.
Please do not rely upon the information here if you’re setting out on a long journey. Sometimes events are changed, or cancelled, so always check that things are still scheduled before you set off.
