The Newquay Events Diary below is an eclectic mix of events in Newquay that might appeal to you whether you’re a resident or a holidaymaker, or visiting your second home. 
As with all things, it’s biased – biased towards events I know are occurring, events I see posted round town – and events that are well-known. But then I need to remember to add them once I’ve found them. If I see a poster strapped to a lamp-post there’s a chance I will remember, but I don’t always 🙂
If I think an event is exceedingly dull, or I just take a personal dislike to it, it won’t be included 🙂
We’re not biased here, but sometimes things have to be dropped. The aim is to have a bit of a mix though, across all dates… but this isn’t always possible.
Newquay County Gig Championships 2017, Newquay
The ladies Gig Rowing County Championships dates for 2017 are Saturday 2 September and Sunday 3 September, at Newquay Harbour. Â The Newquay County Gig Championships are a fixed event in the gig rowing calendar, with the ladies’ races being on the first weekend of September each year.
Free to watch, there will be entertainment, food, drinks and more.
Also: The Junior Championships, postponed due to bad weather in July, will also be held on the reserve date, Sunday 3 September 2017.
Mitchell Car Boot Sales, Saturdays, 2017,
Mitchell Car Boot Sales are held at Trethvas Farm on Saturdays from 12 noon. 
These car boot sales are organised by Cornwall Car Boots and not by Trethvas Farm, who only rent the field for the car boot sales.
Paulo's Circus Newquay 2017, Newquay
Last day of the circus at Newquay, 2017!
Paulo’s Circus have been operating for more than 200 years and you can visit the Circus in Newquay from Thursday 13 July 2017 to Saturday 2 September 2017.
All seats £7/person.  Discounts and vouchers can be found in local newspapers, in some local shops (Morrisons have some) and on their Facebook page.
On-site parking. Performances daily. Â Comfortable seating and heating
Circus Shows last 1 hour 15 minutes, with no interval.
