Four Rescued on a Newquay Beach

The RNLI Newquay lifeboat has rescued four people who were cut off by the tide at Towan Beach in Newquay. They lit a fire to try to draw attention to their situation on Wednesday evening and a passer-by spotted them and called 999.

The lifeboat was launched and the group was picked up and dropped off safely ashore on the slipway at Towan Beach.
