A museum of historic aircraft is moving from Coventry to Newquay Airport. The Classic Aircraft Trust is creating a new visitor attraction, displaying more than 30 vintage aeroplanes and creating over 30 new jobs at the Aerohub Enterprise Zone. Work will commence on the Classic Aircraft Museum in the next month.
The planes being moved to Newquay include a Gloster Meteor, De Havilland’s Vampire and Venom, light transport plane the Percival Pembroke and a Nimrod.
The Classic Aircraft Trust is moving from Coventry Airport to Cornwall Airport as it has outgrown its existing premises.
As well as the collection of vintage aeroplanes, the Classic Air Force Centre will be offering pleasure flights in a vintage DeHavilland Dragon Rapide biplane.
