Newquay Safe Scheme Given Awards

A scheme set up to improve Newquay’s image and keep visitors safe has won two national awards.

Newquay Safe partnership, led by Cornwall Council and Devon and Cornwall Police, has been recognised by the Chartered Institute for Public Relations (CIPR).

The partnership’s work in addressing alcohol-related safety concerns over 16 and 17 year olds visiting the town has been awarded the Local Public Services Communications Award for ‘partnership excellence’ and the West of England Pride Award for community relation
