Newquay Cinema: The Lighthouse Cinema, WTW Cinemas

Newquay cinema, the official name is The Lighthouse Cinema, was built and opened by WTW Cinemas in the summer of 2011.

Newquay cinema is Cornwall’s first digital cinema – capable of showing 3D films.  The cinema capacity is 650, across four screens. WTW Lighthouse Cinema Newquay

Ticket prices range from £5.50 to £7.50 depending on your age, the time and whether the movie’s 3D. Family tickets are also available. Generally speaking, a child aged 3-14 or somebody 65+ attending before 7pm is £5 (£5.50 if it’s 3D). Adults at any time, or childen/over 65s after 7pm, will pay £7 (£7.50 for 3D).

Children under 2 are not admitted and photo ID proving age is required for many films, see the cinema website for details.

Cornwall Film Festival 2011

Cornwall Film Festival, a 3-day annual event, operated from Newquay Cinema in early November 2011.

International Festival of Surf 2015

From 19 March to 22 March 2015 the Lighthouse cinema will be screening surf films every day as part of the International Festival of Surf events.
