New Tea Room in Newquay

Opening its doors on Saturday 9 March 2013 is a new vintage-inspired tea room, in Central Square, Newquay.  Run by local mother and daughter duo, Debbie Ball and Mel Rose, who are no strangers to the catering industry;  after gaining an inheritance from Debbie’s mum Martha, they decided to follow their ambition to open a Tea Room and have named it in her in her memory.

Debbie commented: “We are delighted to finally be able to share our experience, and passion for baking with Newquay. It’s been a long-held dream of ours to open our own Tea Room, and to be able to do it the memory of my Mother and Mel’s Grandmother just makes it all the more perfect.”

She added: “We want Martha’s to be the perfect place for people to be able to come and relax with friends, family and children, but for it to also be accessible for Newquay’s residents on their commute to work.”

Matha’s offers a selection of home-made cakes, light lunches and cream teas.  Customers are invited to visit and relax or pop in to grab a quick coffee and toastie in their lunch break or on their way to work.
