Surfing ‘legend’ in town

Top Hawaiian surfer, Kai Lenny will be a guest of Skindog Surf School, based at Watergate Bay, Newquay, today. Already being described as a legend and sponsored by Oxbow Surfwear, he’ll be visiting between 1pm and 6pm.

Everybody’s welcome down at the beach to join Kai in the surf and to benefit from his knowledge and advice.

Kai is currently top in the first ever World Championship series, being staged by the Professional Windsurfers Association (PWA). He won the first event in Montego Bay with an incredible display of performance riding

Ben Skinner, director of Skindog and number one European longboarder, said: “This a real coup for Cornwall and will be an absolute treat for all surfers able to come along and join him.”

Ben Skinner and James Parry, European Number 3, will also be at Watergate Bay throughout the afternoon joining in the surfing and sharing their own tips

This is a free event at the Skindog Surf School, next to the Phoenix pub, by Watergate Bay’s grassy car park.
