Snow Melting In Newquay

Well, what a glorious night it was last night. I was up until past 5am just watching the snow fall and lay in Newquay.

I checked out some of the Newquay webcams too – and the beaches were white. Fabulous 🙂

But, come this morning, the sun came out – and it’s the usual blue, cloudless skies and the warmth of the sun has melted the snow on the roads and most pavements. Continue reading →

Newquay Christmas Lights Turn On

Don’t forget – the Newquay Christmas Lights Turn on is at 7pm tonight – so be there at 6.45pm. Although, it’s turned very nasty weather-wise. There’s just been quite a freezing and blowy hail storm in Newquay, I hope that’s gone before the Newquay Christmas Lights Turn on time or I might wimp out!!

My suggestion is that you dress up warm, wear a kagoul if you have one – and a hat/scarf/gloves, but an umbrella might be risking it a bit if the wind whips up again! Continue reading →

Newquay to avoid further snow but cold weather to continue

After the excitement caused by the Snow earlier we have been left with a cold but fairly dry night.

Looking at the forecast for the next five days it certainly doesn’t look likely that we will snowed in any time soon!
