Black Humphrey was a notorious Newquay smuggler, although little is known of him, but he died in about 1804-1807. There are a few old books which contain stories of Black Humphrey and his life, but these aren’t easy to find.

During the 1930s-1950s Sir Bruce Forsyth spent many happy holidays in Newquay, Cornwall, with his parents. Buses From White Acres to Newquay

Buses from White Acres to Newquay are provided by the Western Greyhound bus company, on route 521. Because of the location, being on narrow and winding roads, it’s not really safe to walk on the local road too much because it’s not much wider than two cars, so there’s no footpath and no room for pedestrians.
