Established in 2002, Blue Wings Surf School is a family-run company. The core business caters for small groups and beginners/intermediate.

There are packages including accommodation available. Blue Wings cater for Families, Schools, Youth Groups as well as Stag and Hen Parties.

Blue Wings Surf School coaches are all qualified to British Surfing Association standards and qualified NARS Beach Lifeguards. Surf lessons are given on Fistral Beach, or Towan Beach, depending on the wind strength/direction and wave size, to make the lesson productive, safe and enjoyable.

Half day, full day and group surf lessons from £30. Half day sessions start at 10am and last 2 hours, 1.5 hours in the water. Full day lessons start at 10am and have a beach session, then two 2-hour water sessions. For groups of 4 or more such as families, stag and hen dos half day lessons start at £15 per person.

Cornwall Surf Academy caters for families, groups, hen parties, stag groups - and are a great Birthday Party Venue. As well as surf lessons, they offer coasteering sessions. Based at the Aquasurf Lodge, accommodation is available or you can make your own arrangements and just turn up for the lessons. 

Morning sessions start at 10am; afternoon sessions start at 2pm. Lessons last 2.5-3 hours. The Surf Academy offers half day and full day surf lessons, plus a variety of packages up to a 5 day course giving you a lesson each morning and includes board hire for the rest of the day.

The surf academy is based at Holywell Bay Holiday Park, but surfing lessons are run from Towan Beach, Newquay - if the surf and waves are better for lessons on Fistral or Great Western Beach then the lessons will be held there instead.

All surf instructors have British Surfing Association qualifications or International equivalents. Each Surf coach is also a qualified beach lifeguard

Escape Surf School offer packages and surf lessons to families, individuals, groups and hen/stag parties. Their professional surf lessons are run by BSA qualified coaches. Lessons are offered to beginners, as well as competition-level surfers.

Open all year round. Secure changing and hot showers.

Surf lessons are two hours long and include all equipment.

On Hendra Holiday Park, the Oasis fun pools are open every day throughout the holiday season, regular/daytime hours only, which are typically 10am to 6pm during peak season. 

Prices 2016: Children 0-2 free, spectators £1. Prices for adults and children are season-dependant. Children's prices range from £3.30 (off peak, aged 3-4) to £6.65 (peak season, aged 5-14). Adults are £6.55-£8.45 depending on the season. Session times of 1 hour and 30 minutes apply during peak and busy periods. Locals card available.
