Newquay model boat club operates at Trenance Boating Lake. Members with boats of any size are welcome, although noisy/oily boats are discouraged. Typically members have 1m boats.
One-Metre sailing/racing takes place on Sunday mornings at 10am and often on Tuesday mornings. To join the club phone or email, or just turn up at the lake and chat to members with boats. There is an Annual Regatta too, often in July as part of Newquay Carnival Week.

Newquay Roadrunners has been operating since 1983.
They now operate from Newquay Sports Centre and have regular road running events and sessions, as well as operating three races/year.
Tuesday evenings there is an ‘Introduction to Running’ session starting at 6.30 pm.
Wednesday evenings are the regular club nights, at 6.30pm for a weekly run.

Newquay Waterworld swimming pool is run by Tempus Leisure.
Located on the outskirts of town, with plenty of pay and display parking you'll find the swimming pool alongside Newquay Zoo, Newquay Tennis Club and the lovely Trenance Gardens and Boating Lake, so easy to spot! It's also on the route of Newquay Road Train.
Newquay Waterworld is the local public swimming pool, offering a Tropical Fun Pool, 25m Swimming Pool and Junior Gym club. There are ratios of adults:children applied of 0-3 years: 1 child to 1 adult and 4-7 years: 2 children to 1 adult. If you don't meet the criteria, there are Safe Family Swim sessions - all welcome including families who don't meet admission policy ratios.
Swimming times are broken down into activities, so make sure you know what's going on when you want to go swimming as it might not be possible. Typical groups and activities include Parent & baby/toddler, Leisure swim, Aqua Zumba, Aquacise, Junior pool disco (8-12 years). Sessions/times vary depending on whether it's term-time or holiday time.
There's no cafe on-site, but there are vending machines and they offer a baby food warming service at Reception. If you want food, there's Newquay Zoo next door, or Trenance Boating Lake Cafe along the road.
Facilites include: Baby changing facilities available in male and female changing rooms. Disabled changing & toilet facilties available.
Swimming pool prices are a complete mystery, you have to phone them to find out as they don't publish it on their website. Before Tempus took over, the prices were ~£4-7 for adults and £3-5 for concessions, 0-3 years free.
Residents can get a £1 discount - see pool for details. Evidence of address is required and you will have to buy an annual parking pass.

Trenance Bowling Club is located alongside Trenance Boating Lake in Newquay.
The Club was founded in 1916 and affiliated in 1919. Open from April onwards each year, the Club has an active diary of competitions and an 8-day Open Tournament in August each year.
2016 is the Centenary year for the Club.

First opening in 1935, the club became affiliated in 1946.
