The Treninnick area of Newquay was the Manor of Treninnick, or Treninnick Manor, in the times of the Domesday Book. The Domesday census ordered by William the Conqueror in 1086 AD and when the Book was compiled, during 1087, it was the only household listed in Newquay. Continue reading

Homes Under the Hammer in Illogan

Three years ago, a plot of land was sold and shown on the TV programme Homes Under the Hammer, with the programme being aired in 2011, after a year long build. The plot of land in the village of Illogan, near to Portreath and Redruth, had planning permission for a 4-bed house.
