Woman in Cornwall doesn’t exist

A woman who lives in Newquay says there is no record of her birth so officially she doesn’t exist.

Gaynor Roseveare was born in Singapore in 1966 but was put up for adoption and later moved to Cornwall with her adopted parents.

Mrs Roseveare is now married with three children and wants to return to work.

She says because she doesn’t have a birth certificate she is finding it difficult to get a job. Continue reading →

An unidentified body has been pulled from the sea at Newquay. An unidentified body has been pulled from the sea at Newquay.

Police were called to the North Fistral beach below Pentire Headland at around 2.45pm on Thursday after a report of a body spotted in the water.

A police spokesman said that with the support of Coast Guard, and with the Newquay Lifeboat on standby the body of a man was recovered. Continue reading →

Car Found in Search for Missing Man, Mark Neville

A car belonging to Mark Neville, who has been missing since Thursday has been found in a car park at Pentire Headland, Newquay, during an air and sea search. A search was made along the North Cornwall coast on Friday by coastguard teams, a rescue helicopter and two lifeboats.

Police are still looking for Mr Neville, a 45-year-old from Newquay, but the search has now been scaled down.

Mr Neville is described as being 6ft 4in (1.6m), of thin build, with short light brown hair. He was believed to be wearing blue jeans and a green top. Continue reading →
