Handmade in Newquay, Cornwall, Maia has been selling these unique art pieces through Etsy’s handmade online store since 2014. 
An artist, novelist and children’s author-illustrator living in Newquay, Maia’s inspiration comes from the ocean and waves, the beauty of nature, the mysteries of the universe and the simple but extraordinary fact of existence.
The range includes handpainted, full-sized, surfboards and longboards as well as a range of smaller painted skateboards. Images are also available as prints or canvass.
Many of these unique art pieces use reclaimed wood and found objects. Prints are on high quality 100% recycled paper. Available frames are either carefully selected from vintage and second hand shops or custom made with 100% sustainably sourced wood. And everything is made with 100% love.
