The Newquay Lions Club raises funds for local charities and does good work with local groups, including providing the Lions minibus for church groups and outings for the young and old.
Newquay Lions meet every third Wednesday of the month at the Sandy Lodge Hotel at 7.30pm and welcome new members who can help them in their efforts to support the local community.
Newquay Lions organise, among other things, the Bonfire Night, Newquay Carnival and sandcastle competitions on Towan Beach in the summer. Drivers are always sought for groups who wish to use the Lions minibus on its regular routes, or one-off events – Newquay Lions provide the minibus that provides access to Newquay Fish Festival so the less mobile can get up and down South Quay Hill.
