The Air Force Museum at Newquay opened in 2013 and is open from the beginning of May to the beginning of November each year - check their website to see if they're open today/now. The Air Force Museum had 100,000 visitors in its first year of opening, making it an instant hit.
UPDATE: on 25 March 2015 this Air Force Museum announced they will not be opening in 2015.
The Museum is on the site of Newquay airfield, on the A3059 between Newquay and St Columb Major. Look out for the brown ‘Classic Air Force’ signs.
The Café de Havilland serves great food, that's mainly local produce. Pleasure flights can be booked if you want to go up in a plane, there are two trips - one of 15 minutes, round the Bay, or a 45 minute flight that flies over Cornwall, past the Eden Project, and back.
Entry prices: Single, adult, entry is £5. A family ticket is £12.50. Children under 6 are free, 6-15 £3. Seniors £4. Carers with disabled visitors are free entry.
