Roly's Fudge Shop is part of a chain of franchised fudge shops across the UK (and growing). The Newquay shop opened in July 2014, in Fore Street - which for those of you who like a landmark is a couple of doors down from Sailors! So Roly's Fudge Shop will be known as "the new fudge shop near Sailors", or is it just me who refers to places in this way?

Springfields Fun Park & Pony Centre is at St Mawgan, just outside Newquay, Cornwall at St Columb Major.

If it's raining, there's a massive indoor all-weather Fun Barn containing a multitude of play equipment and activities to keep the most active children fully occupied, including a Slide Zone, Giant Games Zone, Toddler Play Area and Activity Zone.

There's a cafe, more than 30 ponies and pony rides, go-karts, rowing boats on a large boating lake and a giant outdoor astra wave slide as well as trampolines. There's a train ride round the Springfield Fun Park. Walk round the Woodland Trail in the eight acres of woods or feed animals with bottles. Lots of different pony breeds and many other animals, including lambs, goats, chickens, calves and rabbits.

All activities are included in the admission price except pony rides and pony carriage rides for which a modest charge is made.

Founded in 1955, St Francis Dogs' Home offers dogs for adoption, emergency rehoming facilities to the emergency services as well as boarding facilities and doggy daycare to locals and holidaymakers.

St Francis Dogs Home is a registered charity based just outside Porth, Newquay, on the road to Trevelgue Campsite.
