If you want to play a round on your holiday …. then playing golf is a great way to spend some hours. There are a number of golf clubs where you can play golf in Newquay, or close to Newquay.
Each of these golf clubs and links is a private golf facility, with an active annual membership and club house.
If you do wish to play golf, then you should contact each of the golf courses to check out availability and discuss costs/options before you set out. It might be necessary to make a booking.
Below are the main local links, although you might discover others as you’re driving around:
Newquay Golf Club.
First opening in 1890, this well-established club has panoramic views across Fistral Beach. There are 18 holes, Par 69. Your total “walk with a ball” is 6000 yards, exposed to the Atlantic winds when the weather’s not great.
This is an all year round course, with an active membership and attractive clubhouse in the white “miniature Castle building” on Tower Road. You will need to contact the club to discuss playing here if you aren’t a member and to book a time with them.
Costs: With an array of pricing options, from 11-holes, to Twilight Sessions, adult prices range from £22-42, with a range of prices for a weekly ticket and other variables. Priced for the “pro golfer” rather than somebody idly wandering past and thinking “I fancy a bit of that”.
