Close to the end of extensive renovations, Trenance Cottages are holding a special Open Weekend on Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 March 2015. During this weekend the Heritage Rooms will be open so the public can visit.
This is not the full reopening of Trenance Cottages, but an open weekend with an exhibition to commemorate the 89th anniversary of the 100th birthday of a previous resident, Mrs Elizabeth Ould.
A special guest will be at the Cottages on the Saturday – Chris Blount’s mother, Joan Blount, aged 101, will be visiting the cottages. Mrs Joan Blount was present at that 100th birthday party in 1926, 89 years ago. Chris Blount is one of the founder members of the Friends of Trenance Cottages group, so they’ve used this occasion for these two special open days of the Heritage Rooms.
This special opening will give people the chance to find out even more about the Ould family and the Wilton family who lived at Trenance Cottages.
Times: 10am to 4pm
