Poldark 2015 is a new adaptation by the BBC of the Poldark book series, written by Winston Graham, who lived in Cornwall and originally broadcast as a TV series from 1975-1977. The 2015 series has a completely new cast and was filmed, mostly in Cornwall, in 2014.
Many of the filming locations were set in Cornwall, although they also used the Museum of Welsh Life just outside Cardiff for some of the interiors. Bath was also used in filming Poldark.
Many people will enjoy the new Poldark series and want to visit Cornwall and see the film locations for themselves, or to read the book or give the DVD as a gift to a fan.
Filming locations include Truro and Church Cove in Cornwall as well as Padstow and many others. Outside of Cornwall the Museum of Welsh Life, Cardiff and Bath were used as locations.
Winston Graham, the writer, lived for many years in Perranporth and there’s a memorial bench on the cliffs at Perranporth dedicated to him: Winston Graham Memorial Bench.
