It shouldn’t need to be said, but if you’re playing Pokemon Go in Newquay, then you really need to stay away from the cliffs – the edges are unpredictable and you might not notice how far you’ve travelled. Even the beaches can present dangers as you might not notice that the tide’s turned and you’re cut off.
Make sure you know the tide times, high tide is when the tide is in (no sand left); low tide is when the sea is far away…. also, when the tide is coming in you’ll get “rogue waves” that suddenly swamp the beach an unexpected 20-30′ or so.
Don’t be the one that looks like a lemon when you get swamped by the sea …. with everybody else on the beach watching you and thinking “… going to get caught out in a minute …. that big wave’ll land and I won’t be able to stop myself from sniggering….”
Be aware of your surroundings. Don’t do anything stupid, “it’s just a game” really does apply!
