Outlet Shopping in Cornwall

Outlet Shopping Cornwall

Why not while away an afternoon checking out the outlet shopping and discount shopping venues when you’re in Cornwall; with no large outlet shopping villages or similar to speak of, there are some hidden gems that can produce some brilliant finds!

If you’re heading for Cornwall from up country and planning on ending up at Land’s End, you’ll be able to fit 2-3 of these outlet shopping businesses into your journey. Otherwise, fit them into your touring holiday across the week.

Celtic: There is a factory shop in Newquay – Celtic & Co (formerly known as the Celtic Sheepskin Company), have their Head Office and main warehouse in Newquay and the factory shop is open for outlet shoppers Monday to Saturday.
Celtic also have an online Etsy store, new in 2017: Celtic Sheepskin Shop on Etsy

Original Factory Shop: Since 2014 there has been an Original Factory Shop in Newquay, one of a chain of factory shops. The nearest used to be Bodmin, which I used to visit 2-3x a year so now it’s more accessible! More: Original Factory Shops, Newquay

The Range:  The next nearest factory outlet to Newquay is near to Truro, in the centre of Cornwall. It’s called The Range and there are two outlets in Cornwall, equidistant from Newquay: The Range, St Austell, The Range, Truro
This is a chain of discount shops spreading across the country, that started down in the West Country. In 2015 The Range opened a new store in St Austell.

St Eval Candles: St Eval Candles are still a thriving business, but the outlet side of the business was closed down.  Located just outside of Newquay St Eval Candles carries a huge range of candles and accessories – the St Eval factory shop was on-site where they made their candles, just North of Newquay at St Eval. OUTLET CLOSED DOWN, Retail Business still open

Portreath Shopping Outlet Centre: Along the north coast, to the south, the nearest outlet shopping to Newquay is at Portreath, where you’ll find a collection of businesses trading from a small site on the road to Portreath. Here you’ll find shoes, textiles, clothing and general items across 3-4 units.  The postcode is TR16 4QL.  Williamsons Factory Shop, selling top quality home linens and fabrics is always worth a visit for gifts or just browsing.

At Redruth, Helston and Bodmin there are branches of The Original Factory Shop. Redruth is the closest at 16 miles, Helston’s furthest at 25 miles from Newquay. They have some late night opening as well as Sunday opening.

Trago Mills: Cornwall’s largest general factory outlet shopping and they have two branches in Cornwall, at Liskeard and Falmouth, as well as a branch at Newton Abbot in Devon, alongside the M5.  If you visit Liskeard there’s a whole day’s worth of looking around the discounted goods in-store, as well as wandering round the grounds and enjoying a picnic.  They’ve also got a low-priced restaurant and tea-room on site as well as a row of small independent shops selling chips, pasties, newspapers and fresh vegetables.

Marks & Spencer: There is an M/S outlet on the main A30, at the Hayle roundabout. This is the most prestigious, shiny and smart factory shop in Cornwall, although it is quite small compared to shopping villages up country, so expect to spend an hour there at most.

Sea Salt: If you’re after surf-based clothing brands, then SeaSalt have a Sale Shop at Penryn, just outside Falmouth.

Ann’s Surf Cottage Outlet: – this is ever popular, making it more affordable to get togged up for water sports. Ann’s Cottage Surf Wear Outlet Shopping

There is free on-site parking at most of the factory outlets in Cornwall.
