The Newquay Events Diary below is an eclectic mix of events in Newquay that might appeal to you whether you’re a resident or a holidaymaker, or visiting your second home. 
As with all things, it’s biased – biased towards events I know are occurring, events I see posted round town – and events that are well-known. But then I need to remember to add them once I’ve found them. If I see a poster strapped to a lamp-post there’s a chance I will remember, but I don’t always 🙂
If I think an event is exceedingly dull, or I just take a personal dislike to it, it won’t be included 🙂
We’re not biased here, but sometimes things have to be dropped. The aim is to have a bit of a mix though, across all dates… but this isn’t always possible.
Newquay Business Breakfast Club (£), Newquay
The Newquay Business Breakfast Club is held early every Friday morning at the Lewinnick Lodge, Pentire Headland, Newquay. Running from 7.30-9am, it gives business owners the perfect opportunity to meet with other local business owners over an enjoyable breakfast. Ideal for business networking opportunities!

While the event is well attended, you should always check prior to arriving that the Newquay Business Breakfast Club is running on the day you want to attend. All business owners are welcome.
Cornwall Film Festival, 2011 - Newquay Lighthouse Cinema, Newquay
The new Newquay Lighthouse Cinema, opened in 2011 will proudly be hosting the Cornwall Film Festival from Friday 4th November to Sunday 6th November 2011. Activities, films, forums and workshops are running from 9.30am to 10.30pm each day, so find out what’s on and when.
With four screens, Newquay’s new, purpose-built cinema is the perfect venue, creating a great atmosphere in which to enjoy the submissions.
Now in its 10th year the Cornwall Film Festival promises to be bigger and better than ever before – you can also enjoy a host of innovative workshops, including animation workshops and Cornish films of every genre.
Workshops will be held in the cinema itself as well as utilising two adjacent buildings.

Newquay Fireworks 2011, Tretherras (£), Newquay, United Kingdom
The annual Newquay Fireworks Display will be held at Newquay Sports & Social Club, Tretherras, on Saturday 5 November. Starting at 6.30pm, there is a charge for entry.
This Newquay Firework Display is organised by Trelawney Fireworks.
Newquay Fireworks 2011, Mermaid Inn, Newquay
The annual Mermaid Inn Fireworks Display will be held on Saturday 5 November 2011, starting at 7pm.
The Mermaid Fireworks Display is free, but there is a collection for charity and a charge for parking (again for charity).
Parking is also available across the road in the pay and display car park.
Fireworks on Tolcarne Beach, 2011 (£), Newquay
For the first year, Kahuna Restaurant on Tolcarne Beach, Newquay, are holding a Bonfire Night and Firework Display.
Enjoy a bonfire on the beach, a delicious buffet and a dazzling fireworks display.
