The Newquay Events Diary below is an eclectic mix of events in Newquay that might appeal to you whether you’re a resident or a holidaymaker, or visiting your second home.
As with all things, it’s biased – biased towards events I know are occurring, events I see posted round town – and events that are well-known. But then I need to remember to add them once I’ve found them. If I see a poster strapped to a lamp-post there’s a chance I will remember, but I don’t always 🙂
If I think an event is exceedingly dull, or I just take a personal dislike to it, it won’t be included 🙂
We’re not biased here, but sometimes things have to be dropped. The aim is to have a bit of a mix though, across all dates… but this isn’t always possible.
Legends of the Bay at Watergate Beach, Newquay
The annual collaboration between BSUPA and BKSA are hosting the ever-popular kitesurfing/stand up paddle boarding competition, which is, again at Watergate Bay, Newquay.
Free to watch from the cliff path, or the beach.

Mitchell Car Boot Sales, Saturdays, 2016,
Mitchell Car Boot Sales are held at Trethvas Farm on Saturdays from 12 noon.
These car boot sales are organised by Cornwall Car Boots and not by the farm, who only provide the location.
Royal British Legion Open Day, Newquay
There’s an Open Day at the Royal British Legion in Newquay on Saturday 23 April 2016. All funds raised will be going to the Poppy Appeal.
You pass the British Legion if you’re driving from Tower Road down to Sainsburys – it’s on the left just before the old Quintdown Press building, which is now the Cornish Print Company.
