The Newquay Events Diary below is an eclectic mix of events in Newquay that might appeal to you whether you’re a resident or a holidaymaker, or visiting your second home.
As with all things, it’s biased – biased towards events I know are occurring, events I see posted round town – and events that are well-known. But then I need to remember to add them once I’ve found them. If I see a poster strapped to a lamp-post there’s a chance I will remember, but I don’t always 🙂
If I think an event is exceedingly dull, or I just take a personal dislike to it, it won’t be included 🙂
We’re not biased here, but sometimes things have to be dropped. The aim is to have a bit of a mix though, across all dates… but this isn’t always possible.
Beach Tag Rugby Weekend August Bank Holiday 2016, Newquay
The annual Lusty Glaze beach Beach Tag Rugby Weekend is on from Friday 26 August 2016 to Sunday 28 August 2016, spanning the August Bank Holiday weekend 2016, yet still leaving you time to get packed and journey home at your leisure! Â
This is an all day event, with lots of on-sand fun, sounds and food. Live music.
Ale Festival, Bowgie Inn, Crantock, Newquay
The Bowgie Inn, West Pentire, Crantock, are putting on their annual Ale Festival which is a fundraiser for Cornish Hospice Care.
Live music, real ale, Cornish ciders and great food to support Cornwall Hospice Care. Plenty of on-site parking. See their website for more details closer to the time.
Kingsley Village Craft Fair, August 2016, Fraddon
Cornwall Craft Fairs are holding a craft fair on August Bank Holiday Sunday at Kingsley Village, Fraddon in the downstairs Exhibition Hall.Â
Up to 50 stalls selling local crafts and local Cornish produce.
Free entrance for the public. All disabled friendly. Â Plenty of free on-site parking.

Newquay Fun Fair August 2016, Cornwall, Newquay
Rowlands fun fair will be visiting Newquay in August 2016 from Tuesday 23 August to Saturday 3 September 2016. From 2pm onwards each day.
Location: The Circus field, near Morrisons.
Crantock Folk Evening: Last Sunday of the Month, Newquay
The Old Albion Inn at Crantock hold a folk evening on the last Sunday of each month.
Come along for a sing song – bring your voices, instruments and enthusiasm. Â Enjoy Shanties, Reels, Hornpipes songs and tunes.
