The Newquay Events Diary below is an eclectic mix of events in Newquay that might appeal to you whether you’re a resident or a holidaymaker, or visiting your second home.
As with all things, it’s biased – biased towards events I know are occurring, events I see posted round town – and events that are well-known. But then I need to remember to add them once I’ve found them. If I see a poster strapped to a lamp-post there’s a chance I will remember, but I don’t always 🙂
If I think an event is exceedingly dull, or I just take a personal dislike to it, it won’t be included 🙂
We’re not biased here, but sometimes things have to be dropped. The aim is to have a bit of a mix though, across all dates… but this isn’t always possible.
Clash of the Paddle, Fistral Beach, September 2016, Newquay
Active competitors are sought for Clash of the Paddle – a 2-day weekend event of sup surf racing at Fistral Beach, with a series of short, fast, intense races.Â
This is a rare chance to race stand up in the surf at Fistral Beach, Newquay.
Free event to watch. Entry fees to take part are ~£22-£40.
Cornwall Cider Festival 2016 at Healey's Cider Farm,
Healey’s Cider Farm are hosting the fourth Cornwall Cider Festival, called The Little Orchard Cider & Music Festival on-site at the Cider Farm, Penhallow.Â
This event runs over three days from Friday 9 September 2016 to Sunday 11 September 2016.
Newquay Gig Racing Championships 2016: Ladies' Weekend, Newquay
The Newquay Gig Racing Championships 2016 are held, as usual, across two separate weekends.Â
The first weekend is the Ladies’ Gig Racing Championships, on Saturday 10 September 2016 and Sunday 11 September 2016. Â The Men’s Gig Championships are two weeks later on 24-25 September 2016.
