The Newquay Events Diary below is an eclectic mix of events in Newquay that might appeal to you whether you’re a resident or a holidaymaker, or visiting your second home.
As with all things, it’s biased – biased towards events I know are occurring, events I see posted round town – and events that are well-known. But then I need to remember to add them once I’ve found them. If I see a poster strapped to a lamp-post there’s a chance I will remember, but I don’t always 🙂
If I think an event is exceedingly dull, or I just take a personal dislike to it, it won’t be included 🙂
We’re not biased here, but sometimes things have to be dropped. The aim is to have a bit of a mix though, across all dates… but this isn’t always possible.
Newquay Fish Festival 2016, Newquay
Newquay Fish Festival 2016 is from Friday 16 September to Sunday 18 September. Â The Fish Festival opens at 10am each day, finishing at bar closing time on Friday and Saturday and early evening Sunday.
Cider, Cheese and Folk Music Festival, Crantock, 2016, Newquay
This is a Free Festival celebrating cider and cheese, with folk music in an ancient thatched Cornish pub that has its own smugglers’ tunnel!Â
The Old Albion Inn’s Second Cider, Cheese And Folk Music Festival starts on the evening of Friday 16 September 2016 and runs through the weekend to Sunday 18 September.
Mitchell Car Boot Sales, Saturdays, 2016,
Mitchell Car Boot Sales are held at Trethvas Farm on Saturdays from 12 noon.Â
These car boot sales are organised by Cornwall Car Boots and not by the farm, who only provide the location.
