Newquay Museum & Heritage Archives

Newquay Old Cornwall Society opened a museum alongside their archives, in early 2014. Newquay Museum is based at Central House, Crantock Street, Newquay – and an easily accessible spot for finding out more about the history of Newquay or you own family history. Newquay Heritage Archive Museum

Opened in 2014, there are several exhibitions throughout the year – with one exhibition that runs continuously, with a theme of “100 years ago today”, so always looking back at events 100 years ago.

The Newquay Old Cornwall Society (NOCS) is now far more accessible and the archives and museum will enable them to collect and display more material to the general public. Central House is at the bottom of Crantock Street (opposite the Lighthouse Cinema) and the Museum rooms are at the back, adjoining Newquay bus station on the corner of Manor Road and St George’s Road.
