Tesco is ready to sign a new contract and take over the old Buzios bar on East Street, opposite the Victoria Hotel, turning it into a second Tesco Express store in Newquay.
And JD Wetherspoons are planning on opening a second pub in Newquay, in the former Divas/Red Square building in Gover Lane, Newquay. Wetherspoons have already put a licence application into the Council, to open from 9am to 4am seven days a week, with some entertainment. The new Wetherspoons will be called The Cribber.
Wetherspoons said: “We are in negotiations to purchase the site of the former Red Square building. We have already submitted a public notice and licensing application.”
