The Newquay Events Diary below is an eclectic mix of events in Newquay that might appeal to you whether you’re a resident or a holidaymaker, or visiting your second home.
As with all things, it’s biased – biased towards events I know are occurring, events I see posted round town – and events that are well-known. But then I need to remember to add them once I’ve found them. If I see a poster strapped to a lamp-post there’s a chance I will remember, but I don’t always 🙂
If I think an event is exceedingly dull, or I just take a personal dislike to it, it won’t be included 🙂
We’re not biased here, but sometimes things have to be dropped. The aim is to have a bit of a mix though, across all dates… but this isn’t always possible.
MiniWorld Riviera Run 2015, Porth, Newquay
The Riviera Run is a two-day bank holiday weekend festival, which is to be held at Newquay View Resort (formerly Trevelgue) at Porth, Newquay, Cornwall.
MiniWorld are the sponsors of this annual mini rally event, which is dedicated to the infamous ‘Mini’.  Activities held across the weekend include a Mini Cruise, Mini Show, live entertainment and fancy dress competitions!
Each year the Riviera Run attracts an impressive show of Minis throughout the decades.

Newquay Art8 Festival May 2015,
Newquay Art8 Festival is an arts festival that will be held at various venues around the town from Friday 1 May 2015 to Monday 4 May 2015.
Some of these events will be running over the early May Bank Holiday 2015. Â Watch out for posters around town and local advertising.
English Nationals Surfing Championships 2015, Newquay
On the bank holiday weekend, the early May Bank Holiday 2015, the English Nationals Surfing Championships will be held at Watergate Bay, Newquay.

Bennicks Weekly Household Goods Auctions, Summercourt, Newquay
Household goods auctions are held every Monday at 12pm at Bennicks Auctions of Summercourt, Cornwall,
Weekly sales regularly consist of between 500-700 lots, including antiques, collectables and furniture. If you’re selling, then they accept items into the saleroom, by appointment only, on Tuesday-Thursday.
