The Metro Hotel, at 142 Henver Road, Newquay, was sold and planning permission was submitted earlier in the year for conversion to an A3 restaurant and four flats.
The Metro Hotel was a 16 bedroom hotel with Restaurant a restaurant and planning permission has now been granted for this conversion work to go ahead. Building work should start before the end of the year.
UPDATE 20 March 2016: 
The restaurant being opened is an indian restaurant, called Zaman’s, opening before the end of the summer 2016. New owner Wahiduz Zaman is teaming up with celebrity chef Eshan (Mo) Miah.
