In yet another change in flights to Newquay, Ryanair today announced it is pulling out of routes and flights to Newquay Airport, meaning the end of the popular Newquay to Alicante summer route.
Ryanair say the flights between Newquay Airport and Alicante are being withdrawn as a protest against the £5 Airport Development Charge that passengers are asked to pay when they leave from Newquay Airport. The nearest airport to get to Spain is now Exeter.
Ryanair will be contacting passengers who have already booked tickets, to give them a refund.
