Wetherspoons Newquay pub, on Cliff Road, are running a Cider Festival from 10 July to 28 July 2013. Set to be Wetherspoon’s biggest and best ever Cider Festival. Cider-makers of national and international renown are crafting their ciders for you to enjoy.
As well as established, familiar names, there are some new kids on the block which have been making big names for themselves. The diversity of the cideries’ age, size and production methods is evident in the ciders.
The selection will allow you to experience the fantastic range of flavours and styles which cider offers drinkers – from traditional styles to modern twists.
Wetherspoons Newquay, Cider Festival 2013Some of the ciders which you can try out include:
Fiery Fox (Gwynt Y Ddraig), Shaky Bridge (Sandford Orchards), Rosie’s Pig (Westons), Tempted? Summer Sweet Irish Craft Cider (Tempted? Irish Craft Cider), Scrummage (The Bottle Kicking Cider Company) and Field Farm Perry (Mr Whitehead’s Cider Company).
Ciders will be available at £2.29 a pint and tasting notes on all of the ciders will be available at the pubs.
At a time that ties in with the Newquay Carnival, maybe a nice pint of cider on the deck at Wetherspoons, Newquay would be a great way to watch the parade pass by just after 6pm on Saturday 13th.
