With several weeks of the heatwave of 2013 behind us, there’s been more time to explore and enjoy the coast and beaches around Newquay and Cornwall as it’s been possible to plan ahead weather-wise!

There’s always something to do in this peak summer month, something for everyone.

Go for a walk, pick a beach where there’s an event on, get away from it all in the sand dunes, go foraging for free food, or lose yourself in a book like Emma Smith’s memories of Newquay in the 1920s/1930s called Great Western Beach.

Make sure you’ve everything you need for the day and enjoy local food, or pack your own picnic!
