Go ahead for new helicopter home

The country’s first air ambulance is one step closer to having a new home after planning permission for a new operations facility was granted.

Cornwall Air Ambulance Trust (CAAT) has been given the go ahead by Cornwall Council to build its new base on the periphery of Newquay Airport after councilors unanimously backed the scheme.

The charity team is now working closely with a number of agencies and grant funders to ensure that the dream becomes a reality. Continue reading

Flights to Newquay From Germany – New Schedule for 2011

Lufthansa will be offering flights to Newquay Airport to Dusseldorf again in 2011. Flights between Newquay Airport and Dusseldorf have been running since 2007, so it’s proving to be a popular route.

In 2011 Lufthansa will be using a larger/better aircraft, a CRJ900, which is a 90-seater jet, giving a smoother and faster trip.
