The Newquay Events Diary below is an eclectic mix of events in Newquay that might appeal to you whether you’re a resident or a holidaymaker, or visiting your second home. 
As with all things, it’s biased – biased towards events I know are occurring, events I see posted round town – and events that are well-known. But then I need to remember to add them once I’ve found them. If I see a poster strapped to a lamp-post there’s a chance I will remember, but I don’t always 🙂
If I think an event is exceedingly dull, or I just take a personal dislike to it, it won’t be included 🙂
We’re not biased here, but sometimes things have to be dropped. The aim is to have a bit of a mix though, across all dates… but this isn’t always possible.
Christmas Fair at Newquay Zoo, Newquay
There’s a Christmas Fair at Newquay Zoo on 11-12 December 2010, when Newquay Zoo will be rolling out the festive fun with home-made crafts and produce to welcome the Christmas Season!
Community Christmas Day, Lions of Newquay, Newquay
Yet again, the Lions Club of Newquay are putting on a Christmas Community Day in Bank Street.
This is a free, outdoor event, to raise money for charity. There will be a few fundraising stalls, including facepainting for children.
Santa Claus will be handing out presents to younger children from his sleigh.
Newquay Zoo Christmas Fair (£), Newquay
On 11th and 12th December Newquay Zoo will be holding a Christmas Fair, with home-made crafts and local produce to welcome the Christmas Season!
Santa Specials at Lappa Valley (£), Newquay
Santa Specials are being run at Lappa Valley Railway on Sundays from 5th -19th December 2010, then every day in the week leading up to Xmas (Monday 20th to Thursday 23rd inclusive).
Choice of departure times: 11:30am, 12:30pm, 2pm, 3pm

The Esplanade Hotel is again hosting a special Xmas Santa’s Grotto Lunch with the whole family in mind. This one day event is even larger than in previous years. Booking required.
