The Newquay Events Diary below is an eclectic mix of events in Newquay that might appeal to you whether you’re a resident or a holidaymaker, or visiting your second home. 
As with all things, it’s biased – biased towards events I know are occurring, events I see posted round town – and events that are well-known. But then I need to remember to add them once I’ve found them. If I see a poster strapped to a lamp-post there’s a chance I will remember, but I don’t always 🙂
If I think an event is exceedingly dull, or I just take a personal dislike to it, it won’t be included 🙂
We’re not biased here, but sometimes things have to be dropped. The aim is to have a bit of a mix though, across all dates… but this isn’t always possible.
Newquay Rowing Club New/Novice Rowers Sessions, Newquay
Newquay Rowing Club hold sessions on Tuesday evenings for new/novice rowers to have a go in a gig boat and see if they like it. The sessions are run free of charge from mid-May through to September (weather permitting).
The sessions are mixed, so suitable for everybody.
Simply turn up at 6pm at Newquay Rowing Club or on Newquay Harbour beach and you’ll get to have a go at rowing.
These sessions are run by experienced coxswains and rowers helping you to learn the basics and progress your rowing ability at your own pace.
Crantock Village Fiesta 2011, Newquay
Crantock Village Fiesta is an annual event. The roads into the village are closed and parking is made available in nearby fields.
There’s street entertainment and, of course, the pubs are open!
The Crantock Street Fiesta starts with a procession, so arrive early if you want to get a good spot.
Check out this year’s: Bucking Bronco, Punch & Judy, street stalls, animal enclosures and live enterainment – plus there’s the chance to win cash prizes.
