The Newquay Events Diary below is an eclectic mix of events in Newquay that might appeal to you whether you’re a resident or a holidaymaker, or visiting your second home. 
As with all things, it’s biased – biased towards events I know are occurring, events I see posted round town – and events that are well-known. But then I need to remember to add them once I’ve found them. If I see a poster strapped to a lamp-post there’s a chance I will remember, but I don’t always 🙂
If I think an event is exceedingly dull, or I just take a personal dislike to it, it won’t be included 🙂
We’re not biased here, but sometimes things have to be dropped. The aim is to have a bit of a mix though, across all dates… but this isn’t always possible.
RNLI Lifeboat Day - Newquay, Newquay
Newquay RNLI Lifeboat Day 2011
Lots of sea rescues to watch, along with the usual stalls outside the RNLI Lifeboat House at Newquay Harbour.
Walk round the Lifeboat House to see the boats and equipment – then don’t forget to dig deep for this very worthy charity.
The RNLI Lifeboat Day is always well supported – and there’s also entertainment and stalls around Newquay Harbour: musical entertainment, safety information, raffles, BBQ, face painting, food/drink. There will be a continuous display of RNLI rescues and vehicles – and you can look around the Lifeboat Station.
Support Newquay RNLI fundraisers who will have a cake stall, bric a brac and a teddy bear’s picnic tombola as well as refreshments.
Newquay Band Open Air Concert, Newquay
Summer Concerts on the Killacourt
As part of the Summer Concerts on Killacourt series, Newquay Town Band will be playing in the bandstand.
Start time is 2pm. This is a free concert.
Why not combine it with a visit to the RNLI Lifeboat Day in Newquay Harbour on the same date.
