The Newquay Events Diary below is an eclectic mix of events in Newquay that might appeal to you whether you’re a resident or a holidaymaker, or visiting your second home. 
As with all things, it’s biased – biased towards events I know are occurring, events I see posted round town – and events that are well-known. But then I need to remember to add them once I’ve found them. If I see a poster strapped to a lamp-post there’s a chance I will remember, but I don’t always 🙂
If I think an event is exceedingly dull, or I just take a personal dislike to it, it won’t be included 🙂
We’re not biased here, but sometimes things have to be dropped. The aim is to have a bit of a mix though, across all dates… but this isn’t always possible.
Newquay U3A Readers’ Group, Newquay, Cornwall
The Newquay U3A Readers’ Group meets at Newquay Library on the last Friday in the month from 10:00am.
Cinderella Charity Family Pantomime, Newquay
Supporting Cornwall Hospice Care, there will be plenty of laughs at the Family Pantomime at Trevelgue Holiday Park in Porth, near Newquay on Friday 25 November. All proceeds are going to Cornwall Hospice Care.
This year’s Pantomime is the classic tale of Cinderella, incorporating all the traditional Panto favourites. Performed by a professional production touring company, Wonder Productions, Cinderella will have you tapping your feet to some of the latest chart songs hits and is set to be a sure-fire winner with the whole family.
Before the Pantomime, there will be a chance to visit Santa’s Grotto, browse festive stalls, enjoy a pre-show drink in the licensed bar and to try your luck in the Christmas Raffle.
Tickets: £5 Adults, £3 Children, £15 family pass (up to 2 adults and 3 children)

Newquay Xmas Lights Turn On 2011, Newquay, United Kingdom
Newquay Xmas Lights Switch On, followed by a Lantern Parade to Newquay Harbour.
Enjoy carol singing and the band at Station Approach, by Newquay Station, before following the lantern parade down to Newquay Harbour.

“Happy Christmas Shirley” by Louise Roche, directed by Susie Bundy, runs at Lane Theatre, Newquay every day from Tuesday 22nd to Saturday 26th November 2011
and again from Tuesday 29th to Saturday 3rd December 2011.
