The Newquay Events Diary below is an eclectic mix of events in Newquay that might appeal to you whether you’re a resident or a holidaymaker, or visiting your second home. 
As with all things, it’s biased – biased towards events I know are occurring, events I see posted round town – and events that are well-known. But then I need to remember to add them once I’ve found them. If I see a poster strapped to a lamp-post there’s a chance I will remember, but I don’t always 🙂
If I think an event is exceedingly dull, or I just take a personal dislike to it, it won’t be included 🙂
We’re not biased here, but sometimes things have to be dropped. The aim is to have a bit of a mix though, across all dates… but this isn’t always possible.
Newquay’s Carnival week 2017 runs from Saturday 1 July to Saturday 8 July, finishing with the Grand Carnival Parade starting at 6pm on Saturday 8th proceeding from the Bristol Hotel on Narrowcliff to The Fort pub, above Newquay Harbour.
On the final night, a Mascot Race runs from the Hotel Victoria at 5.30pm to Barrowfields, opposite the Bristol Hotel, to get the crowds gathered for the start of the Carnival Parade.

This year’s Carnival Theme is Cartoons – and throughout the week there will be a variety of events across the town and on the Killacourt.

Mitchell Car Boot Sales, Saturdays, 2017,
Mitchell Car Boot Sales are held at Trethvas Farm on Saturdays from 12 noon. 
These car boot sales are organised by Cornwall Car Boots and not by Trethvas Farm, who only rent the field for the car boot sales.
