Fistral Beach, Newquay, is the “British Bondi Beach” so you’d expect there’d be a webcam – and there are more than one. Fistral Beach, North, is the end where the Headland Hotel and Fistral Surf Centre are. Fistral Beach, South, is the far end. You can check the webcams to see if a beach is busy, or if the surf’s worth riding today.
There is a webcam on Fistral Surf Centre, trained on the beach and waves’ edge.
This image was taken at lunchtime on Wednesday 14 August 2013 – and, for peak season, the beach looks deserted, but don’t be fooled, it’s been raining this morning, so the sun’s only just broken out…. it’ll be packed later!
Fistral Beach Webcam (North) has been removed.
