New Year’s Eve in Newquay is always exciting, with the whole town and thousands of visitors turning up – mostly in fancy dress – to visit the pubs and clubs – or just stand and watch the crowds of people in fabulous fancy dress outfits.
If you’re going to be in Newquay for New Year’s Eve, then a fancy dress outfit is pretty much compulsory, with some groups of people going to tremendous effort to really dress up, alone, or a group dressing the same.
Families line the streets to watch as thousands of pub-goers and party-goers walk by and there’s a tremendous safe feeling of fun and enjoyment.
Midnight on New Year’s Eve in Newquay
Where will you be at midnight? That’s always a big question! Sort it out with your mates at the start of the night, to make sure you’re all together to see in the new year.
The Central Inn: At midnight on New Year’s Eve there’s always a huge outdoor countdown to midnight, with hundreds and thousands of people standing to greet the new year with a huge cheer.
Newquay Harbour: A fireworks display is lit at Newquay Harbour at midnight – you can see this by going down to the Harbour, or standing at the top – or even view it from Killacourt.
