Newquay’s annual fish festival is now in its 11th year and one of Cornwall’s leading showcases of fresh, local produce. Running from Friday 6 September 2013 to Sunday 8 September 2013 this is a fish festival where there’s more than just fish – there’s plenty to see, do and EAT! No entry fee, this is a free event at Newquay Harbour.
There are cookery demonstrations taking place every day over the three days of the fish festival in the fully equipped demonstration marquee.
Food craft and arts tents with local produce and goods.
All day fish barbecues on the harbour quay.
range of entertainment from local choirs and bands to a sandcastle competition and ‘fishy’ encounters organised by the nearby Blue Reef Aquarium.
Lots of great free music, harbour entertainment, refreshments, arts, and crafts for all the family.
For those with mobility issues, the Lions club of Newquay run a free minibus up and down from the top of the road.
