The annual high summer Newquay Lifeboat Day takes place in Newquay Harbour. There are sea rescues to watch and the opportunity to look at the lifeboat in the lifeboat station alongside the beach.

Visit Newquay Rowing Club, or enjoy a hot burger or sandwich from the vendors around the harbourside.

The day starts with a lone piper greeting the lifeboats at South Quay; there is also a parade through the town to the harbour. The parade commences at 11:00 from Killacourt, above Towan Beach.

Parking: The Harbour car park will be closed all, day but there will be a Park and Ride from Tregunnel car park via Sainsbury’s to South Quay, provided by the Newquay Lions Club.

The RNLI Lifeboat Day is a free event, donations can be given to the lifeboat on site.
