A twist on a Farmers Market is provided by Newquay Food Assembly. High quality, locally grown, produce is made available weekly for you to collect.
Once a week you place your order, then pop along to collect it and meet the producers.

How Does Newquay Food Assembly Work?:
- You join up.
- Buy online, putting your food order in when you want, before the deadline (currently 2am Wednesday morning).
- Collect your order from Tower Road, Newquay on Thursday evenings between 5-7pm.
Opening in April 2016, this is a great way to get your veg boxes, knowing who the suppliers are. It provides a great way for those living in town to meet the food producers, collect local produce on foot, to get out and chat about the food and swap recipe ideas even!
Produce includes vegetables, fruit, meat, fish, eggs, dairy products, honey and jam.
- Day & Times: Thursdays 5pm to 7pm
- Location: Ocean Lodge, 61-63 Tower Road, Newquay, TR7 1LX
Next to Newquay Golf Club, across the road from Tower Garage, opposite Hope Terrace.
Food Assemblies are growing up across the country as venues put together the producers and the consumers. The Food Assembly won ‘Best British Food Initiative’ at the BBC Food and Farming Awards.
All produce is fresh and seasonal, so what’s available – and the suppliers – will change regularly. One, typical, offering included “… organic meat with beef from Green Star, chicken from Stephen Gelly Farm, lamb boxes from Cottage Farm Get free range tasty pork from the Primrose Herd, amazing herbal teas from Sam@Teabelly and heritage tomatoes and more from Mr. Greens. Plus lots of Cornish staples from Natasha@Green Star.”
