Newquay Foodbank are working in partnership with Newquay police and six licensed premises in the town to promote the Newquay Foodbank and help collect food for those in need locally.
The following licensed premises in Newquay are involved in Foodbank Friday this Easter Good Friday, 3 April:
- Sailors Arms, Fore Street
- Walkabout, The Crescent
- Bullpit Smoke House and Bar, Beach Road
- Cribbar, Gover Lane Lane
- Whiskers, Gover Lane
- Wetherspoons Towan Blystra, Cliff Road
Collection bins will be available from about 10am on Friday 3 April remaining in each premises until closure later that day/night.
The Foodbank is happy to accept all donations of non perishable, in date, undamaged foods, with the following items being most wanted by the Newquay foodbank collections:
- Rice
- Cous cous
- Porridge oats
- Cereals
- Tinned fruit
- Rice pudding
- Tinned carrots
- UHT & dried milk
- Biscuits
Newquay Police work closely with Newquay Foodbank, with neighbourhood officers regularly providing Foodbank vouchers for those in need in their communities.
