Stay safe on the beaches and be aware of the tide times. High tide means it’s fully in; low tide mean’s the sea’s out. Below are the tide times for 26 June 2013:
Tide Times – Newquay : 26th June 2013
02:03 – LT (0.30m) 07:59 – HT (7.20m)
14:23 – LT (0.60m) 20:22 – HT (7.40m)

For those unfamiliar with tide times, the above means: It was low tide at 2am; it was high tide at 8am, so now the sea is going out; at 2.23pm it will start coming back in again and at 8.22pm the sea will be fully in again. Don’t get cut off!
You can buy a tide times booklet at most local shops, look/ask for the little yellow booklets.
